Ferrari has come up with a very appropriate name as the 812 Superfast is the most powerful & fastest front engined Ferrari in history. To be unveiled at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, the new 812 Superfast is the latest V12 Ferrari to grace the stable.
The 6.5L V12 engine delivers a very strong 789 hp (588 kW) with 80% of the 713 Nm of torque comes on at just 3500 rpm. The performance figures are just shy of the LaFerrari, with 0-62 mph coming in at an incredible 2.9 seconds, on the way to a top speed of over 211 mph. This extra power is attributed to a high-pressure, 350 bar direct fuel injection system paired with variable intake tracts. The gearbox is an improved version of Ferrari’s dual-clutch unit.
To help keep all this power on the road, Ferrari has included Side Slip Control, and a system called Virtual Short Wheelbase, which was developed from the Ferrari F12tdf. This should increase the nimbleness and responsiveness of the car. And with a first for any Ferrari road car, the 812 Superfast is fitted with electric power steering, departing from the electro-hydraulic systems of the past.

Meet the ultimate Lamborghini Aventador, the SVJ (Superveloce Jota) a 759 hp, 720 Nm supercar fresh from a 6:44.97 lap of the Nurburgring Nordschleife. After the success of the Huracan Performante, Lamborghini has really upped their game in terms of track performance capabilities. Thanks to the combination of a high powered engine, light weight materials and active aero, the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ has put it;s competition on notice.
With the world of supercars turning to forced induction and electric propulsion, it is refreshing to see Lamborghini sticking true to it’s origins of big naturally aspirated V12’s. The 6.5L in the Aventador SVJ has been massaged to output 759 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 720 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm. These improvements are thanks to new cylinder head intake ducts, redesigned intake runners, titanium intake valves, and a new lightweight exhaust system.

Lamborghini Huracan STO
The replacement for the Gallardo, Lamborghini’s most successful ever car, with over 14,000 sold since 2003. That gives the Huracan a suitably mountainous task, one that Lamborghini has chosen to tackle by playing against type and taking a safe option. The Huracan is no radical reimagining of the modern supercar. There are no hybrid systems here, for instance. In fact what there is, is familiarity. The 5.2-litre V10 is carried over, albeit heavily reworked, and it’s still positioned in the middle of the car and drives all four wheels. Unless you opt for the latest entry-level LP580-2 model, which is rear drive only.
There’s a new seven speed dual-clutch gearbox and an all new chassis, partially constructed of carbon, that’s 50 per cent stiffer than the Gallardo’s. Is that enough to return Lambo’s ‘entry-level’ super car to the top of the class above the brilliant Ferrari 488 and McLaren 650S?
Weight distribution is biased 40% at the front / 60% at the rear, reducing inertia on the front axle. An entirely new power management set-up, encompassing modified suspension, new steering set-up and re calibrated stability and traction controls connects the driver as directly as possible with the road.
